Lolit Solis took to social media to react to Lotlot de Leon’s interview on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” about getting hurt due to the bashings received by her daughter Janine Gutierrez for her political beliefs.

The showbiz reporter said that she sympathizes with Lotlot’s feelings as a mother. However, Lolit advised Lotlot to understand why her daughter got bashed on social media.

According to Lolit, a celebrity who wants to fight for her beliefs should expect to get negative reactions from people who do not share her views.

Lolit recalled how she got bashed by Janine’s fans when she criticized the actress’ reaction to Senator Bong Revilla’s TV comeback years ago. Janine tweeted “Oh God” as a reaction to Bong’s comeback, which angered his close friend Lolit.

“Alam mo Salve I sympathized with Lotlot de Leon sa galit niya sa mga bashers ni Janine Gutierrez. Pero looking back naisip din sana ni Lotlot na kung minsan nasasali sa intriga ang anak niya dahil sa pagiging vocal nito sa pagbibigay ng komento. Unang nangyari iyan ng naging issue sa amin, naalala ko na para akong nilampaso sa lupa sa mga followers ni Janine Gutierrez na hindi tumigil sa bashing nila. I took all the blows, no complaints dahil ipinagtanggol ko si Bong Revilla sa 'OMG' na comment ni Janine. This time na experience niya ang grabeng bashing, consequence iyan ng gusto mong point, ng gusto mong panigan sa issue, panindigan mo. Diyan mo mapi feel na you have to take the bullet for what you believed and fight for. Blow for blow, take it. Basta kung anuman ipinaglaban mo, ilaban mo. Bongga iyon,” Lolit posted.

Lolit Solis is an entertainment reporter, talent manager, and host in the Philippines. She is well-known for her frank commentaries on different showbiz, social and political issues in the country.

In a previous post, Manay Lolit slammed some managers whom she said were fond of “power tripping” and a hypocrite. The veteran showbiz columnist did not identify the managers though she indicated that they’re fond of canceling people at press conferences. By using the word “ipokrita” to describe one of the said managers, she hinted that it is a woman. Manay Lolit said that a manager’s jinx even rubbed off her talent, which is why their team is in a quandary on how to improve the image of their star.

She also said in another socmed post that she allegedly felt like she was a victim of “budol” after giving someone P700K. She then quickly summarized what happened at the time, saying that the person she allegedly gave the money to was a “fast talker.” The showbiz columnist then realized that even though she’s already a veteran, such things can still happen to her. Manay Lolit then wondered how the person allegedly convinced her to release P700K.
