Boy Abunda, idinetalye ang naranasan ni Boobay na silent seizure: “After a few minutes… he was back”

Boobay made headlines after he became unresponsive in the middle of Boy Abunda's interview with him on Thursday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda."

During FTBA on Friday, Boy gave an account of what happened during the much-talked-about interview.

"He started to be quiet. Parang akala ko, iiyak. Akala ko he was getting emotional because he was remembering how he started."

"So pinapanood ko lang siya. After a few seconds, instinct eh. Something is wrong... Siguro mga dalawa o tatlong beses? I said, 'Are you okay?'”

"Nilapitan ko na kasi I instinctively felt that something was wrong. Niyakap ko. So we took a break. Less than six minutes."

The King of Talk then narrated what happened after he called for a break.

"Inupo namin siya diyan. Tumawag na kami ng doctor, tumawag kami ng nurse. After a few minutes, mga two or three minutes, he was back. He was okay.”

“And doon nalaman ko 'yung kwento na nangyari na pala ito. Ang tawag daw yata sa nangyari sa kanya ay silent seizure. Hindi naman ordinaryo but he is used to this. Ang sabi raw ng kanyang doctor, after he had a stroke in 2016, na magkakaroon ka ng mga silent or mild seizures. Pero ang gagawin mo lang, kumalma ka and then be still. After a while, babalik ka rin.”

Furthermore, Boy aired a thoughtful message to the prominent comedian.

"In all the years that I had been on television, that was the first time na may nangyaring ganun. So Boobay if you're watching, take good care of your health."

Boy Abunda is one of the most prominent celebrities in the Philippines. He is dubbed the “King of Talk” because of his excellence in interviewing people.

He inked a new contract with the Kapuso network on Thursday, Dec. 15. and GMA-7 took to its social media page to post a video and photos of the contract signing event. The “King of Talk” started his career in 1994 with GMA and later transferred to ABS-CBN in 1999.

Meanwhile, Boy could not help but laugh at the viral memes about him. GMA Network posted a two-minute video showing him reacting to the hilarious memes/ Among the memes shown to him shows texts that read “Boy Abundoll” and “Toy Abunda.” In his reaction, Boy praised the creativity of the ones who did the memes.
