Troy Montero wasn’t able to stop himself from shedding tears of joy upon hearing for the first time his 4-year-old daughter speak a complete sentence.

He said that while it was only a four-word sentence, it was more than enough for him to cry tears of joy.

It was only in April last year that Troy and his wife, Aubrey Miles, revealed that their daughter has autism spectrum disorder or ASD.

One of the disorder’s symptoms is the delayed speech, as in the case of their daughter Rocket, necessitating the need for an occupational therapist to help her speak.

This is why when he watched the video that his Rocket’s occupational therapist sent him and witnessed his daughter makes her first complete sentence, the actor was truly overjoyed as he himself admitted in a post.

He also sent the video to Aubrey, who was also equally ecstatic with what she saw.

“Overflowing Happy Tears!! ❤️ Rocket’s OT teacher shared this video with me today during our session summary and oh my gosh, I almost cried on the spot (I waited till I got to the car LOL) then I sent this to Rocket’s mommy and it totally made her day!” Troy wrote in a post.

“Tears of happiness, hearing four words coming from our non-verbal little girl, ugh She can say letters and a few select words but until today nothing put together like this,” he added.

The actor then admitted that he and his wife must have watched the video more than 30 times already and might already be watching it for a hundredth time by tomorrow.

“We’ve probably watched this video 30-40 times already and for sure we’ll hit 100 by tomorrow,” the actor said.

“She’ll be turning 4 next week and hopefully she’ll sing along as we wish her a Happy Birthday ❤️,” Troy said further.

He then congratulated Rocket for a job well done and said that they are very proud of her.

“Great job my we love you so much! We are so proud of you! ,” Troy said in his post.

Troy Montero is an actor, born to an American father of German and Irish ancestry, and a U.S. born Filipina mother. His longtime partner is Aubrey Miles, a Filipina actress and a certified plantita. They have two children, one boy, and one girl. Troy is the brother of actor-host KC Montero.

Previously, Aubrey and Troy shared on social media the condition of their daughter, Rocket. Aubrey emotionally tells the story of what they have been through since they learned that their daughter has autism spectrum disorder. She admitted blaming herself though the doctor already said that she doesn't have anything to do with the condition of their daughter. Although difficult, the couple has accepted the situation, more so because they see their daughter is growing up to be a happy child.

Sometime after that, Troy posted a video of Rocket and her progress. On his Instagram account, the celebrity dad shared that a little girl approached Rocket while they were at the café. Even though their interaction was short, Troy got teary-eyed over Rocket's progress when it comes to interacting with other children. The celebrity dad even openly admitted that he got teary-eyed about it at one point in his post.
