Celeste Cortesi stunned the audience with her performance during the swimsuit competition of Miss Universe 2022 preliminaries happening today in New Orleans, Louisiana.

In the said portion, the Filipino-Italian beauty queen showcased her smooth pasarela dubbed “Celestial Walk.”

She donned a pink two-piece swimsuit and a cape created during a Save the Children Philippines outreach in Marawi.

“In amplifying the voices of the children who need our help, I wanted to bring them with me on the Miss Universe stage. The imprints all over the cape remind me that having a title means to have a purpose beyond myself. Having talked to some of the mothers of the children beneficiaries, I was reminded of my own Mother who struggled to provide for my sister and I. Unfortunately, there are millions of children who live in poverty, amidst crisis. I hope that it inspires people to donate to Save the Children Philippines. There’s much work to be done and every single person’s help matters.”

Celeste Cortesi was born on December 15, 1997 to a Filipino mother and an Italian father. The beauty queen from Pasay first made her presence known in the local pageant scene through the Miss Earth Philippines 2018 competition. She became even more well-known after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant. The 25-year-old stunner grew up in Italy and moved to the Philippines to pursue pageantry.
