Iza Calzado recently posted a heartfelt “hugot” in her Instagram account for her long-dead mother.

As per Iza’s post, her mom died 21 years ago when the actress was just a little kid.

She admitted not having that many clear memories of her childhood and only old photos that are with her “help keep memories alive.”

The actress also lamented she and her mother could have had more photos and more time together.

“Dear Mama, To be honest, I don’t have a lot of clear memories of my childhood. Photos like these help keep memories alive. They help keep you alive in my heart. Wish we had more photos, more time together,” Iza wrote.

The actress then revealed in her post that her mom had died 21 years ago.

“21 years now since you left this world, yet it seems like you always make sure I turn out well. I know a lot of what’s happened in my life are dreams you had for yourself and for me. When I experience those moments, I truly feel your guiding light,” she added.

Iza then asked her mom to continue guiding her as the actress is also about to become a mother herself.

“As I prepare to become a mother, I ask for your continued guidance and support. This won’t be an easy ride but I know it will be an incredibly fulfilling one,” the actress wrote.

Iza then remarked that her mother's dreams and hers are starting to come together as regards her family and career.

She then promised to take lots of photos with her baby so she would also have memories of her own childhood.

“Pretty soon, I will have my own child. A little Mary Ann, a little Iza. Your dreams and mine coming together for this beautiful blessing. I promise to take lots of photos with my baby so she gets to keep those memories with her when the time comes for me to be with you again,” she further wrote.

The actress then acknowledged she still has to go a long way in her journey but said she would be alright because she believes her mother would always be with her even though she’s already long-dead.

Iza is a Kapamilya actress, endorser, television host, and dancer. She started her career in GMA-7, but in 2012, she signed a contract with ABS-CBN. She has worked with huge stars in the industry like Piolo Pascual.

Recently, the actress also posted a heartfelt birthday greeting for her husband whom she called “amazing human.” The actress said that she’s “incredibly lucky” to have found a man like her husband, Ben Wintle. She also said that her husband has shown her what true love for self and others is. Iza then said that there is no one in the world that she would share her journey other than her husband.

She also shared a video of her moderate-intensity exercise routine during pregnancy. A strong mom grows strong babies, was the message of the post of Iza. She also reposted the post of @culverpadilla, her trainer, saying that exercise can help moms stay in shape and prepare for labor and delivery. Giving it 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise is highly recommended during pregnancy.
