- Initially, Vhong requested the court to let him stay at the NBI Detention Center but his request was denied and thus he was transferred to Taguig City Jail

Vhong Navarro is "okay naman," as per one of the collaborating counsel of the actor, Atty. Mariglen Abraham-Garduque, a Manila Bulletin reported.
From the time that Vhong arrived at the Taguig City Jail, he has been under quarantine.

Upon arrival, he was also required to undergo a medical exam, which was required by the facility which houses 993 inmates.
“OK naman. Under quarantine pa rin sya up to now," said Garduque.

Aside from the required quarantine, the actor is also required to wear the yellow-shirt uniform of all those confined at the penal institution.
After Vhong was transferred to the said facility, his ex-wife Bianca Lapus expressed her support for him on her IG Stories, as per Inquirer.
His fellow hosts on Showtime likewise showed their support for him, according to Philstar.
Vhong is a Filipino comedian, actor, dancer, singer, judge, and TV host of ABS-CBN Entertainment Groups. He was part of the dance group Streetboys in the Philippines. He is one of the pioneer hosts of the noontime variety show, "It's Showtime."
Vhong was a topic in latest episode of Cristy Fermin’s radio program, “Cristy Ferminute.” Cristy and Romel Chika talked about Vhong being transferred from the National Bureau of Investigation Detention Center to the Taguig City Jail. During the discussion, Cristy reacted to photos and clips showing Vhong with his arms handcuffed. According to the veteran showbiz columnist, it was painful to see Vhong in the said situation.
A video of Vhong being ushered out of the detention center was shared by ABS-CBN news reporter Niko Baua. Another video was subsequently shared, which showed Tanya Bautista, Vhong's wife, going with him during the transfer. The transfer was based on the order issued by Branch 69 of the Taguig Regional Trial Court, which is also the one handling the rape case filed by Deniece Cornejo.
