Cristy Fermin is not pleased with the news that Vhong Navarro, who is currently detained at the National Bureau of Investigation, will be transferred to Taguig City jail.
During “Cristy Ferminute” on Wednesday, the veteran showbiz columnist expressed sadness that the actor would miss the chance to spend the Christmas season with his loved ones.
“Sabi nga ni Atty. Alma Mallonga, sana Christmas na ito with his family. At sabi ko nga po, hindi naman tayo lamang ang may karapatan na mag-Pasko na kasama ang ating mga pamilya. Lahat po tayo at sa lahat na 'yon ay kasama po sana si Vhong Navarro.”

“Pero inihahanda na po ang mga dokumento ni Vhong Navarro sa paglilipat po niya mula sa NBI tungo sa Taguig City jail,” Cristy shared.

She then expressed, “Nakakalungkot po itong senaryo na ito. Sobrang lungkot.”
Cristy then went on to air respect for the court’s decision.
“So inaayos na po ang mga dokumento. Nakakalungkot man po ay pero ito po talaga 'yung itinalaga ng batas para kay Vhong Navarro. Nakakalungkot, sobra.

Vhong is a Filipino comedian, actor, dancer, singer, judge, and TV host of ABS-CBN Entertainment Groups. He was part of the dance group Streetboys in the Philippines. He is one of the pioneer hosts of the noontime variety show, "It's Showtime."
The hearings on Vhong’s petition for bail ended on Thursday, Nov. 5. During the last hearing, Deniece Cornejo appeared before the court to testify against the petition. Vhong’s legal counsel Atty. Alma Mallonga then gave a statement on how the bail hearing went through. She said they had done enough, and they are praying that the court’s decision would go in their favor.
Earlier, Cedric Lee appeared as the prosecution's first witness in the bail hearing over Vhong Navarro's case filed by Deniece Cornejo. It was held in a Taguig City court on Oct. 13.
