Pia Wurtzbach, the former Ms. Universe 2015, took some leisure time in order to relax after a grueling NYC marathon.

The beauty queen recently joined the popular marathon and was able to secure a medal there from her run.

After the marathon, Pia complained of aches in various parts of her body, though the following day, she was able to walk normally.

She then shared that she ate healthy so her recovery would be fast.

Pia also said that her coach told her not to run in order for her to rapidly recover.

The former Ms. Universe 2015 also took time to check out some workout gear at a store.

“Coach Gabb's advice is no running muna to recover,” the beauty queen said.
“In the meantime, I'll be looking at new workout gear,” Pia said.

Pia is a Filipino-German actress, model, and Miss Universe 2015 titleholder. She is one of the four Filipinas to earn the title.

Earlier, the former Ms. Universe 2015, thought that she would be “in bad shape” for a couple of days after the NYC marathon. She expressed surprised, however, when she found out what happened was exactly the opposite. The former Ms. Universe also shared that she was able to walk normally a day after the grueling marathon. She said that she slept and ate recovery meals at the hotel where she’s staying.

The beauty queen also recently proudly posted on social media her latest achievement. She said that she’s very happy, “grateful, inspired, humbled, and emotional” when she achieved it. The beauty queen has been training for months in preparation for the NYC Marathon, which Pia said wasn’t a race, but rather more of an experience and a life lesson. She also said that the medal she won represents how important it is to keep the promises that a person made to oneself.
