Pia Wurtzbach, the former Ms. Universe 2015, thought that her body would be “in bad shape” for a couple of days after joining the NYC marathon.

The beauty queen recently shared that she won a medal in the said marathon.

She has shared in the past that she had been training for months to prepare for the popular run.

After the marathon, Pia shared that she felt pain in various parts of her body, causing her to think that she would be in bad shape for a couple of days.

The exact opposite happened, however, as she felt good and was able to walk normally a day after the marathon.

She shared that she have been sleeping tight and eating good recovery meals at the hotel she’s staying in.

“Been sleeping and having good recovery meals here at @equinoxhotels,” Pia wrote.
“I was okay the next day surprisingly! Nakakalakad ako,” she added.
“I thought I would be in bad shape for a few days but I'm actually okay!” the former Ms. Universe 2015 said.

She recently took to her IG Stories and posted a short clip, which showed how she was after hurdling the New York marathon. Pia shared that most of her body is experiencing aches and pains. The beauty queen stated that her legs were aching, her back was also aching. Despite the hurt, she still managed to tell Jeremy that the only thing thas was not hurting was her heart.

Pia also recently proudly posted on social media her latest achievement. She said that she’s very happy, “grateful, inspired, humbled, and emotional” when she achieved it. The beauty queen has been training for months in preparation for the NYC Marathon, which Pia said wasn’t a race, but rather more of an experience and a life lesson. She also said that the medal she won represents how important it is to keep the promises that a person made to oneself.
