In the photo she uploaded on IG, Pia is shown holding a medal that she won during the NYC Marathon.

The beauty queen ecstatically declared that she and her team were able to do it, adding that the said marathon wasn’t a race but an experience.

She then emphasized that the medal she won represents how important it is for persons to keep the promises they made to themselves.

“This medal represents how important it is that we keep the promises we make to ourselves. To me, it was running because I wanted a new challenge, a new discipline — to be healthier & to step out of my comfort zone, to see how far I can go,” she further wrote.

Pia then took time to thank her family and friends, as well as her coach, whom she called “the best.”

She also thanked everyone for the support, saying that their cheering on the ground and online helped a lot.

“I’m grateful for all the support and cheering on ground and online. I saw your signages, your messages, and posts — kahit sobra yung kaba ko and yung pagod 5 hours in, lumalakas loob ko. Pia is a Filipino-German actress, model, and Miss Universe 2015 titleholder. She is one of the four Filipinas to earn the title.

Recently, Pia was named by financial entity, NetCredit, as the one of the highest Instagram earners for the year 2021. She is also the only Filipino who was included in the list of celebrities all over the world. The study was titled "Which Celebrity Earns the Most from Instagram in the World." As per the study, the 2015 Miss Universe earned approximately P216 million.

In a previous post, Pia jokingly calmed the fans of Joshua Garcia by telling them through a social media post that she is not planning to cut into the line. Earlier, fans of the actor told the actress in jest that even if one is Ms. Universe, she has to get in line in order to have the opportunity to be the GF of the actor. Because of this, the former Ms. Universe has to issue a statement on the matter, which she did through a post on social media. She said in jest that she doesn’t have any plans of cutting into any existing line and that she’s aware there is such a line.
