Bela Padilla took to Twitter and expressed her disfavor when it comes to the proposal of banning K-dramas from the Philippines.
For the actress and director, K-dramas are being funded well and their production value is high.
"Pinapanuod ng mga Pilipino ang kdrama kasi ginagastusan at mataas ang production value ng mga palabas nila. I’m currently in South Korea shooting a Filipino film and the difference of how they work is inspiring."

She also expressed sadness at how filmmakers in the Philippines allegedly do not get the same support or funding from the government.
"I’m saddened as a filmmaker in the Philippines that we don’t--get the same support, funding or help from our government. Even the production costs, working hours, talent fees of writers, directors and everybody involved in making a film is too far for us to even compare."
Bela said thought that if the playing field is leveled, then PH can also make world class content.
"I agree that if we level the playing field--and if filmmakers in the Philippines are given the same respect and support, we definitely could create world class content too."
