Vhong Navarro will not be appearing in person for the whole duration of the trial for the rape case filed by Deniece Cornejo.
A Manila Bulletin report stated that lawyers of the comedian have sought this kind of arrangement and it was already approved by RTC Branch 69 in Taguig.
The comedian is still being detained at the detention center of the NBI in Manila.
On Sept. 19, a warrant of arrest was issued against Vhong pursuant to the rape charges filed by Deniece.

The warrant was non-bailable, but the camp of Vhong has already filed a petition to grant bail.
In Philstar, Vhong did not enter a plea during the arraignment.
In the first bail hearing, Cedric Lee was presented as witness by the prosecution, as per ABS-CBN.
The second bail hearing was already done, where the prosecution presented another witness, albeit, the identity of the said witness was not mentioned in reports.
Vhong is a Filipino comedian, actor, dancer, singer, judge, and TV host of ABS-CBN Entertainment Groups. He was part of the dance group Streetboys in the Philippines. He is one of the pioneer hosts of the noontime variety show, "It's Showtime."
He was among the subjects in the latest episode of Cristy Fermin’s online program, “Showbiz Now Na!” Cristy and her co-host once again had a commentary on the actor’s legal woes. As the trial for his case started, Cristy expressed her belief that Vhong’s petition for bail should be prioritized. The veteran showbiz columnist also explained why she wanted the actor to be given the right to post bail.
Vhong's second bail hearing was among the topics discussed in the latest episode of “Cristy Ferminute.” Hosts Cristy Fermin and Romel Chika aired their wish that the court’s decision would be favorable to Vhong. Cristy also said the “It’s Showtime” host’s supporters are hoping that the detained actor would be allowed to post bail at the earliest possible time. Vhong is currently under the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation due to his cases filed by Denice Cornejo.
