Mariel Padilla took to IG and posted a screenshot of a fake account that was trying to pretend that she was Mariel.

The fake account added an underscore right after the official handle of the wife of Sen. Robin Padilla.

Mariel uses @marieltpadilla and the fake user used @marieltpadilla_ which could be confusing.

The former actress stated that the account is fake, and urged everyone not to engage with the person.

"This is a FAKE!!! do not engage with this person."

She also captioned her post with "Scammer!"

One could see on the post of Mariel that the fake account was trying to get people to purchase bags from her.

"Hi my friend, this is my fan page and I only chat here. May gusto ka bang bag sa aking online sales? Maaari akong magbenta ng mura para sa iyo."

Mariel Padilla is a popular actress and host in the Philippines. The actress became even more successful after launching her own YouTube vlog. She is married to action star Robin Padilla, with whom she has two children – Isabella and Gabriela.
