Cristy Fermin sa pagbitiw ni Atty. Topacio bilang abogado ni Deniece Cornejo: “napakalaking kawalan”

- The veteran showbiz columnist also expressed, “Pagsasalita pa lang, panalo ka na kapag ito ang abugado mo”

Cristy Fermin and Romel Chika recently had a discussion about the news that Atty. Ferdinand Topacio is no longer the lead counsel of Deniece Cornejo in the latter's case with Vhong Navarro.

In the latest episode of "Cristy Ferminute" aired on Friday, Cristy supposed that the lawyer is a huge loss in Deniece's camp.

“Pero napakalaking kawalan si Atty. Ferdie Topacio, sa totoo lang,” the veteran showbiz columnist stressed.

“Presensya pa lang ni attorney, 'yun na 'yun e. Kilalang kilala siyang abogado na palaban talaga't walang inuurungan. Pagsasalita pa lang, panalo ka na kapag ito ang abugado mo, diba?” she continued.

"Sabi nga ninyo Nay diba, lawyer of the stars," Romel then reacted.

To which Cristy replied, “Oo, totoo 'yan. Pero alam mo kung gaano katibay ang prinsipyo ni Atty. Topacio, marunong siyang makipagkita sa gitna. Isa siyang peacemaker, peacemaker siya. Hangga't maaari, gusto niyang matapos ang anumang problema. Hindi 'yung magpapalawig-lawig pa, ganu'n.”

Atty. Ferdinand Topacio has officially quit as the lead counsel of Deniece Cornejo in the latter's case with Vhong Navarro. The lawyer stated that he does not wish to pursue the current direction of the case. He also added that "in good conscience and ethics" he cannot continue his services. Topacio also explained that there has been a difference in managing the case.

Previously, Cristy Fermin had a commentary again on the news that the court junked Vhong Navarro’s petition to remain under NBI detention. Due to the said decision, Vhong is expected to be transferred to Taguig City jail. Cristy then supposed that among the fears of the actor and his camp are the purported occurrences inside city jails that Vhong might experience.
