Cristy Fermin, in the Oct. 5 episode of Cristy Ferminute, gave her opinion on Mariel Padilla and her closeness to Toni Gonzaga.

The veteran showbiz columnist defended the actress from bashers who are saying that Mariel is just trying to be "sipsip" towards Toni Gonzaga, who is actually getting new shows from AllTV.

Mariel was the first guest who was featured by Toni in her newest talk show in the new channel.

The wife of the senator has also shown her support to Toni since day one.

According to Cristy, Mariel is getting a lot of bashing because of Toni and not just because of Mariel herself.

Cristy and her co-host also pointed out that Mariel is the wife of a senator, and her friendship with Toni goes a long way back.

Toni Gonzaga is a famous actress, television host, and YouTube star in the Philippines. She married director Paul Soriano on June 12, 2015, in Taytay, Rizal. Toni then gave birth to their first child, Severiano Elliott or Seve, on September 30, 2016.

Mariel Padilla uploaded a photo of Toni Gonzaga on the set of the latter’s ALLTV program and penned an appreciation post for her. She is extremely proud of Toni for having a daily program on the new network. Additionally, Mariel praised Toni for remaining humble, generous and faithful amid all of her successes. Mariel also expressed her excitement to watch Toni’s TV show every day.
