Cristy Fermin recently claimed that overseas Filipino workers in South Korea reacted negatively to Sharon Cuneta’s latest vlog.
The said vlog became trending due to a scene when she was barred from entering an Hermès store in Seoul.
In the latest episode of “Cristy Ferminute,” the showbiz columnist then aired that according to OFWs in South Korea, “Dapat ay hindi ganito ang kinatakbuhan nitong senaryong ito kung hindi inilabas ni Sharon sa kanyang vlog.”

“Misleading talaga ito, Nanay. Maraming negative itong vlog na ito kaya and daming nag-almahan, lalo na mga kababayan nating Pinoy sa South Korea. Sana daw naging maingat daw siya kasi, 'Baka kaming sa nagtatrabaho sa Korea ang pagbweltahan ng mga Koreano at Koreana,'” Romel Chika commented.

To which Cristy replied, “Hindi pupwedeng hindi madamay ang ating mga kababayan."
"Pilipino si Sharon Cuneta. Sikat na personalidad ng Pilipinas at sila ay mga Pilipino. Natural lamang, damay sila na mga manggagawang Pilipino.”
Cristy also shared the alleged frank reactions of Filipinos based in the said East Asian country.
“'Yun 'yung talagang naging focal point e, 'yung wala sa hulog kung tawagin ng mga kababayan natin sa South Korea na bigla niya na lang isinama 'yung, ‘Bibili lang naman ako ng sinturon, hindi ako pinapasok.’ Ang dating tuloy sa lahat, talagang hindi siya pinapasok.”
She further aired, “Basta, ang ating mga kababayan sa Korea ngayon ay nanghihinayang na bakit pumasok si Sharon sa ganito. Para sa kanila, cheap ito e… Katsipanggahan daw po ito na para lang magkaroon ng content ay talagang inilagay sa kalagayang ganito ang ating mga kapwa Pilipino sa Korea.”

Sharon Cuneta, commonly known as the 'Megastar' in the local showbiz industry, is a prominent and veteran celebrity in the Philippines. She is also the mother of KC Concepcion, her daughter with fellow actor Gabby Concepcion. In 1996, she tied the knot with Kiko Pangilinan.
Lolit Solis shared her thoughts about Sharon Cuneta not being allowed to enter an Hermès store in Korea. The entertainment columnist said that what Hermès did to Sharon is the “height of discrimination”. She added that the Hermès store in Korea must have lost sales due to how they treat potential customers. Earlier, Sharon already clarified that the Hermès store was just implementing COVID-19 protocols.
