Cristy Fermin and Romel Chika have discussed Cecilia Ongpauco's viral statement about her daughter, Heart Evangelista, and her husband, Sen. Chiz Escudero.

Previously, Cecilia made headlines when she told ABS-CBN News that she is praying for the couple and that she knows they will be okay.

Following this news, KAMI learned that the veteran columnist gave her honest opinion over Cecilia's statement.

In 'Cristy Ferminute' online, the veteran columnist said that Cecilia's statement calmed down the rumors about the couple.

"Ako'y natutuwa ano. Napakalma ng pagbibigay ng pahayag ni Mommy Cecile, diba? Ang mommy ni Heart Evangelista, yung isyu tungkol sa kanila ni Sen. Chiz Escudero, diba? Laganap yung tiwala, yung malaking pag-asa niya na malalampasan din ng mag-asawa ang kung ano mang problema ang bumabagabag sa kanila ngayon," she said.

However, Cristy also pointed out that Cecilia's statement, in a way or two, confirmed that the couple may be facing some issues.

"In a way, parang inamin na rin ni Mommy Cecile na meron, kaya lang ang pag-asa niya, maaayos," she said. Adding further to that statement, Cristy said, "Sana rin, wag masyadong nagiging emosyonal si Heart, kasi nabibigyan ng iba't-ibang interpretasyon."
