Edu Manzano was visibly, albeit in a pleasant way, surprised when he learned that his son, Luis, is going to be a father soon.

The veteran and award-winning actor recently heard of the news about his daughter-in-law, Jessy Mendiola-Manzano, getting pregnant.

In Jessy’s vlog which she posted on her YouTube channel, the two went about telling their families first about the pregnancy of the actress before sharing it to the world.

In the case of Edu, his son Luis and his wife Jessy, showed him the video of the actress’ ultrasound test.

Luis immediately said to his father “hi, lolo,” indicating that he’s going to be a grandfather soon.

The veteran actor, who was surprised by the announcement, blurted out to Luis: “Wow! When did you do that?”

He then examined the video closely, which was on Jessy’s mobile phone, so he can see the baby clearly.

“Can I see that again? How many months na iyan?” Edu asked, to which Jessy replied that she’s almost done with her first trimester.

Edu was so happy that he hugged his son and daughter-in-law and kissed them both.

The veteran actor’s girlfriend, Cherry Pie Picache, who was with him when Luis made the announcement was also visibly happy with the news.

Edu Manzano is an actor, comedian, politician, and the television host of game shows such as The Weakest Link, Pilipinas, Game KNB?, 1 vs. 100, and Asar Talo Lahat Panalo. He used to be in a relationship with actress Vilma Santos. They have a son in show business – Luis Manzano. Edu is now in a romantic relationship with actress Cherry Pie Picache.
