Gretchen Barretto allegedly wants to distance herself from showbiz, far away from the limelight, as per Cristy Fermin in today's episode of 'Showbiz Now Na.'

At the beginning of the video, KAMI learned that Cristy discussed the alleged news together with Morly Alinio and Wendell Alvarez.

Upon hearing the said news, both Morly and Wendell gave their honest sentiments and opinions about the matter.

"Gretchen Barretto. Anong masasabi niyo? Gusto na niyang lumayo sa ingay ng showbiz," Cristy asked the two.

Wendell then admitted that he feels sad about it since Gretchen is a beautiful woman, but is also a wonderful actress and host.

"Syempre, sayang. Sayang siya kasi napakaganda niya at magaling din siyang artista, tsaka magaling siyang mag-host. Kaya napakasayang talaga si Gretchen," he said.

For Morly, he considers this as Gretchen's grand exit since she left the industry with a good track record and out of her own accord.

"At least, Ate Cristy, grand exit ang gagawin niya. Hindi siya laos, hindi siya pulubi, hindi siya pangit. Nasa taas pa rin siya at naisipan niyang bumaba siya kung saan man ang kanyang kinalalagyan, hindi siya ibinaba. Siya ang nag-desisyon. So ibig sabihin, hindi siya inayawan ng mga tao at hindi rin naman niya inayawan ang mga tao," he pointed out.

As for Cristy, she pointed out that perhaps Gretchen now wants to settle down after being part of the industry for years.

Cristy said, "Dito na siya nagka-edad sa showbiz." She then continued, "Katulad ni Gretchen, mas mahalaga sa kanya ngayon, mag-alaga na lamang ng kanyang apo kay Dominique. Ayaw na po niya ng ingay ng showbiz."

Gretchen Barretto is a well-known actress in the Philippines and the sister of actors Claudine and Marjorie Barretto. She has been in a relationship with business tycoon Tonyboy Cojuangco for 27 years now but the latter is still legally married to Denise Yabut, his first wife.

On Instagram, the celebrity dermatologist uploaded a short reel about her reunion with the socialite. In the viral video clip, Gretchen and Dra. Aivee seemed to have attended a wedding of one of their friends.

Meanwhile, Gretchen and Tonyboy Cojuangco have been trending online due to the actress's online posts, On her Instagram account, Gretchen posted several video clips where she and Tonyboy seemed to be practicing their flexibility. At one point, Gretchen suddenly mentioned celebrity couple Ellen Adarna and Derek Ramsay in the video.
