- However, they explained that they are still focusing on the case of their sister as opposed to their being silent as what the reporters asked about

The sister of Jovelyn Galleno, in an interview with Radyo Bandera Philippines, answered the question of the interviewer about the public allegedly wondering about the silence of the family of Jovelyn with regards her case.

She said that it was only momentary, because it was already enrollment and the police were also working on the case of their sister.

"Yung mga kababayan natin, nagtataka, nagtatanong, bakit daw po ba parang tahimik na po ang pamilya ngayon?" asked a reporter

"Kasi nga po yun nga po, nag-enroll na po kami ng ate ko. College po yung ate ko so medyo busy na rin siya. Ganun na rin po ako. Pero hindi po kami nagpapabaya," answered Jovelyn's sister.

She also reiterated her statement after the signal became

"Hindi nga po kami makontak sa sobrang busy po."

Jovelyn Galleno is a 22-year-old mall worker in Palawan. She was reported missing on Aug. 5 and according to her sister. The employer of Jovelyn stated that she already logged out around 6:30 p.m. on that day. The sister also stated that Jovelyn even chatted with one of their siblings but she never made it home.

The family of Jovelyn turned emotional when they were interviewed in KMJS. They are hoping that the CCTV footage could help in locating the whereabouts of the girl. The family immediately went to the police and filed a blotter until they went to the CIDG. The only footage that they got was when she went to work, but not when she was already on her way out.

The sister of Jovelyn appealed to netizens to stop creating social media accounts using the name of her sister. She said that they are hoping such will stop out of respect for the family, who until now are still worried about the missing girl. She added that the events get more complicated due to the wrong information that are being propagated.
