Ruffa Gutierrez revealed in the vlog of Dr. Vicki Belo that the memorable meeting of her daughters Lorin and Venice, with their father, Yilmaz Bektas, was three years in the making.

As per Ruffa, they tried several times prior to their actual meeting, however, when they would talk about it, they would just end up fighting over the phone.

"This reunion is three years in the making. Every time we would try and set something up, we would end up fighting over the phone. He was supposed to come to the Philippines. Kung anu-ano lang. ‘Yung nagkakainitan kami."

She then revealed that it was only when Yilmaz had a dream about Venice that it somehow paved the way for the reunion.

"We didn’t talk for over a year and then this Holy Week, Yilmaz had a dream about Venice and he said, ‘Is Venice okay? I feel like she’s going through a lot and I don’t understand why I had a dream about her.’ So nag-usap sila."

According to Ruffa, the life-changing phone call happened when they were in Boracay.

She said that she was there when Venice and Yilmaz talked. She recounted how her daughter cried and let out all the pain that she has been feeling.

That paved the way for the reunion of her two daughters with their father.

The online “bangayan” of the two started when the newbie legislator posted a question to Ruffa about the alleged throwing out of some house helpers from an exclusive village.

Ruffa Gutierrez was recently interviewed by Dra. Vicki Belo on her YouTube channel. During the interview, Ruffa and Dra. Vicki talked about Lorin and Venice finally meeting their dad, Yilmaz. At one point, in the vlog, Vicki asked Ruffa if Yilmaz ever supported her all these years. Without any hesitation, Ruffa said no before jokingly saying, "But it's payback time"
