On her Twitter account, Gretchen retweeted One News PH’s post bearing an art card quoting Ella, who will play the role of Irene Marcos-Araneta in director Darryl Yap’s upcoming film “Maid in Malacañang”.
“History is like tsismis. It is filtered and dagdag na rin, so, hindi natin alam what is the real history,” the highlighted quote by Ella reads.
Gretchen reacted to Ella’s sentiment by underscoring the difference between history and “tsismis”.
The television presenter’s post reads:
“Facts =/= Opinion
My coffee is black = Fact
My coffee is bitter = Opinion
History = Facts
Tsismis = Opinion”
She also added, “History’s narrative, while subject to the perspective of the author, must be written based on facts, and not opinion.”
