Ogie Diaz took the cudgels for the Robredo family, who are in New York to attend the graduation ceremony, against a basher who insinuated that VP Leni is not living a simple life because her daughter is studying in New York.
The comedian then directly responded to the basher to correct the notion.
According to Ogie, bashers simply don't want the daughter of VP Leni to graduate, which is why she gets bashed.

She then said that bashers could not just believe that Jillian is a scholar.
Here's what the basher said, "Simple buhay daw si Leni na may anak na nag aaral sa NEW YORK. Tang ina anong simple dun? MGA GAGO!"
Ogie's response was, "Ganun talaga. Ayaw nyong gumradweyt yung anak ni VP Leni eh di iba-bash nyo. Di kayo makapaniwalang scholar, no?"
Ogie Diaz, or Roger Diaz Pandaan in real life, is a Pinoy actor, comedian, entertainment reporter, and talent manager. He was born on January 2, 1970 in Quezon City and was known as “Pekto” in the popular and long-running TV sitcom, “Palibhasa Lalaki.” He is also known as the talent manager of award-winning actress, Liza Soberano, and is also the man behind the YouTube channel, “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update.” He started his career in showbiz in 1987 as entertainment reporter Cristy Fermin’s assistant at the Mariposa Publications. He later went on to become a successful talent manager.
Recently, Ogie must have reached a point of exasperation when he wrote one of his latest posts on social media. The showbiz reporter and talent manager, in his post, said he has marked some unnamed individuals who might have plans to borrow money from him. He has been hinting about such in his Showbiz Update channel, apparently referring to those who were ardently supporting rival candidates. Ogie said that if such individuals ask for a loan from him, he will point them to other people and not from him.
He also previously took to Facebook and shared his thoughts amid the "partial unofficial" results of the elections. The comedian used simple yet meaningful words to express his state of emotions. "Sana mali kami, sana tama kayo" said Ogie. He has been supporting VP Leni Robredo and has campaigned unceasingly for her together with Mama Loi.
