Janine Gutierrez, in a Twitter post, issued a reminder to all voters to vote not only for themselves but also for their fellow citizens.
The actress accompanied her post with a footage taken during a campaign rally of VP Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan showing a driver who was part of the famed ‘Piston 6,’ who was among those arrested during the height of the pandemic.
In her post, Janine acknowledged the jeepney driver and then reminded voters to vote not only for themselves.

“Tatay!!!! We must remember that when we vote, we're voting for every other Filipino, not just for ourselves,” Janine tweeted.
The said driver is Tatay Elmer Cordero, a member of the ‘Piston 6’ who became known after they were arrested for plying their route during the height of the pandemic.
In the footage, Tatay Elmer was shown holding a placard that read “Malayang Makabalik Pasada.”
In the background, Gab Pangilinan can be heard singing the song “Rosas.”
Janine Marie Elizabeth de Leon Gutierrez, more popularly known as Janine Gutierrez, is a Filipina actress, television host and commercial model. She was born on born October 2, 1989 to actress Lotlot de Leon and actor-singer Ramon Christopher Gutierrez.

One of the citizens Janine visited asked her: “Ikaw yung anak?” The actress replied in the affirmative because she thought that she was being asked about her mom Lotlot de Leon. It turned out that the citizen was asking Janine if she is VP Leni’s daughter.
She also previously took to Twitter and encouraged everyone to spend time reading about People Power. She encouraged everyone to talk to their families about the EDSA Revolution. The actress also requested people to say thank you to those who marched on the streets for the country's freedom. She then used the hashtags #NeverForget and #EDSA36.
