The actor made the appeal amid the Easter Sunday press conference of three of VP Leni’s political opponents for the presidential race.
The said press conference was conducted at the Manila Pen.

During the presscon, Manila Mayor and presidential candidate Isko Moreno called on for VP Leni to withdraw from the presidential race.
The three, along with some of their companions, then discussed various things about the VP.
Despite their call, Jake opted to post his own message on Twitter for his fellow supporters appealing for focus in round 2 of the House to House campaign in Sampaloc.
“Focus tayo! H2H Round 2 in Sampaloc, Manila with @_jacobsays,” Jake tweeted.
It’s not clear what pushed Isko to issue a call for withdrawal of VP Leni. Lacson, on the other hand, said he did not ask for the same thing, informing everyone that it was Isko’s idea.
Jake Ejercito is a Pinoy actor who appeared in several movies including Marry Me, Marry You, Mansyon, and Coming Home. He was born on March 27, 1990 to actress Laarni Enriquez and actor-turned-politician, former President Joseph “Erap” Ejercito Estrada. He is the father of Ellie Eigenmann, his daughter with Andi Eigenmann.
Recently, the actor took to Twitter and shared a photo of him during the grand rally of VP Leni Robredo. He was facing the camera and was flashing the heart sign, the one that was used by VP Leni's camp. The actor then captioned it with an appeal to stand up and convert other people. Jake has been very supportive of VP Leni and has also openly campaigned for her.
He also made a post in support of Aika Robredo on the same platform. He posted photos of his own house-to-house campaign for VP Leni. In the caption, the actor said, "Stand with Aika. Do it like Aika." Jake then added the hashtags #TaoSaTaoParaKayRobredo
