Recently, the singer-actor posted on his Instagram account a statement signifying support for the presidential run of VP Leni Robredo.

While some netizens were happy with his choice, there were several who posted comments that appear to criticize his decision.

In one of the comments, a netizen said Janno is only supporting VP Leni in the hopes that if she wins, then she would restore the franchise of ABS-CBN.

“SIGURADUHIN mo lang dahil kapag nagkataon paano naman kaming mahihirap kapit lang naman kayo dyan para maibalik ang ABS-CBN kung nagbabayad kasi Sana ng buwis Hindi umabot dyan. Just comment lol oh Papatol yarn sabay delete,” the netizen wrote in the comment.

The singer-actor did not waste time and immediately wrote a reply to the netizen’s comment.

“@mizzlaurio Banned ako sa ABS! Di mo ba alam?” Janno said.

The said netizen later said sorry to Janno, though it’s not clear whether she meant it or not.

“@jannolategibbs banned ba? HAHAHA sorry-sorry di ako updated sa ganun Yun lang kasi Alam ko at Isa parang gusto ko na nga Rin lumipat sa kakampink masyado kasing matalino ang Pilipinas kailangan ng Lutang na presidente para naman bumagsak kahit papano perwisyo kasi sa Pangarap ang higpit masyado eh. wala lang Masama lang LOOB ko sa lahat palabas lang ng kunti,” she said.

Other followers of Janno joined in and asked the netizen why would she question the alleged tax deficiency of ABS-CBN, while the candidate she supports has unpaid estate taxes amounting to hundreds of billions of pesos.

Janno Gibbs is a Filipino singer-songwriter, actor, and comedian. He was a host of various GMA-7 shows before such as "Eat Bulaga" and "Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5?". Janno is the son of veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez. His wife is actress Bing Loyzaga and they have two daughters named Alyssa and Gabby.

Janno also calmly responded to a basher of his show on Net25, “Happy Time.” In his latest post where he promoted the noontime show, the basher commented “nagsasayang lang kayo ng kuryente.” Janno just thanked the said basher instead of replying with a fiery response. The singer and television host then took to his Instagram Stories to expose the basher.

Recently, the singer-actor has been making the rounds on social media because of his satire videos about the fictional character President Gibbs. Among these videos was the viral “BTS: President Gibbs Headquarters,” which became a hit on YouTube. In an Instagram story, Janno shared a screenshot showing a netizen’s negative remark on one of his content. It could also be seen in the screenshot that the singer-actor hit back at the netizen’s unsolicited comment.
