Marietta Subong or Pokwang is a famous comedian, host, and actress in the Philippines. Some of her popular movies are “Call Center,” “A Mother’s Story,” and “Edsa Woolworth.”
Pokwang took to Twitter and wrote a deep "hugot" about someone whom she confronted with the truth. The comedienne said that she posted a very nice, happy-sounding post with lots of good vibes. However, there were some who would start to call her names simply because of her post and when she confronted the person with the truth, she would start playing the victim. The comedienne, totally dismayed, said that now she found out the true colors of the person and said that she initially thought the person was "mabait."
Pokwang took to Twitter and narrated the experience of her parents during the EDSA Revolution. According to the comedienne, poverty must not be a hindrance when one is fighting for what is right. She then said that her parents were among those who took to the streets during the 1985 EDSA Revolution just to make a stand for the future generations. Pokie said that they joined the people there walking, and they went home still walking, tired and hungry but definitely happy.
