During Cristy Ferminute’s episode on Monday, Nanay Cristy aired her thoughts on the couple’s wedding vows.
“Pinanood ko uli 'yung kasal noong October 2021 ni Tom Rodriguez at saka ni Carla Abellana. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ang daliri ko ay dinala doon sa vlog ng kanilang kasal. Napansin ko, doon sa pagpapalitan nila ng mensahe sa harap ng altar, sinabi pala ni Carla na sa mga huling araw sa lupa ng ama ni Tom, ay wala na siyang dapat ipag-alala.”
"Ako na po ang bahala sa kanya, I will never leave him. I will take good care of your son," Cristy said quoting Carla's promise to Tom's late father.
"So nasaan na ang mga pangako mo?” Cristy’s co-host Romel Chika said.
“'Yun nga ang naisip ko, 'yung mga pangako,” the veteran showbiz reporter reacted.
Furthermore, Nanay Cristy expressed sadness over Carla and Tom’s alleged marriage woes three months after the wedding.
“Nakakalungkot, pagkatapos ng tatlong buwan, heto na sila ngayon. Wala man lang komunikasyon, naghiwalay na. Pagkaganda-ganda ng pagduduop sa altar, ang ganda ng pangako sa isa't isa, tapos ganito. Nakakalungkot.”

Carla Abellana is an actress and endorser who works for GMA. She is married to fellow Kapuso star Tom Rodriguez. Before entering showbiz, she graduated with honors at De La Salle University with a degree in psychology. She gained prominence for playing the lead role in the Philippine adaptation of the Mexican telenovela "Rosalinda."
Carla recently clarified that her luxe condominium unit is not worth P2 million. She made the clarification after netizens and press articles misunderstood her post that “2M has now been slashed off” the unit’s total cost. In Cristy Ferminute’s latest episode, Cristy Fermin claimed that Carla received criticism anew because of the way she did the clarification. As per Nanay Cristy, some “Marites” are describing the Kapuso actress as “madlita”.
Nay Cristy also claimed that Carla’s camp had frank remarks about Rey “PJ” Abellana. the showbiz reporter alleged that the actress’ camp called Rey an “absentee father”. As per Nanay Cristy, the Kapuso star’s camp also held that the veteran actor has no right to make himself involved in the issues about Carla. It can be recalled that in an earlier episode of Cristy Ferminute, Rey broke his silence on Carla and Tom's supposed marriage woes.
