Nanay Cristy aired this during Cristy Ferminute’s episode on Friday.
According to the veteran showbiz reporter, the actress’ camp said that Rey has no right to make himself involved in the issues about Carla.
“Naiintindihan natin 'yung posisyon ni Rey nu'ng magsalita siya tungkol kay Tom Rodriguez na pinagpistahan naman kasi ng buong bayan 'yung kwento ng one-night stand. Ang sabi ng kampo ni Carla, wala raw (karapatan) si Rey na makiaalam sa buhay ni Carla dahil isa siyang absentee father.”
“Kasi nga alam naman natin na mga bata pa sina Carla, silang magkapatid, maghiwalay na ang kanilang mga magulang. Pero hindi natin maiaalis ang katotohanan na absentee father man si Rey Abellana, siya pa rin ang ama ni Carla. Hindi natin maipapasubalian 'yan.”

Carla Abellana is an actress and endorser who works for GMA. She is now married to fellow Kapuso star Tom Rodriguez. Before entering showbiz, she graduated with honors at De La Salle University with a degree in psychology. She gained prominence for playing the lead role in the Philippine adaptation of the Mexican telenovela "Rosalinda."
Rey “PJ” Abellana, has recently broken his silence on Carla and Tom’s rumored split. During his guesting on Cristy Ferminute, Rey claimed that his son-in-law, Tom, admitted to him about having a one-night stand.
Days later, Rey made some clarifications about his earlier statement that Tom Rodriguez allegedly had a one-night stand. Rey stressed that Tom’s one-night stand issue was not true. As per Rey, Tom had already made clear to Carla that there is no truth to his alleged infidelity.
