Gigi De Lana revealed in a recent Facebook post that she lost her iPhone while performing with The Gigi Vibes in an event in Dubai.

The famous songstress did not mention the iPhone model, though she said she tried to locate it through its Find My iPhone app but to no avail.
“Okay po ulitin ko post ko. dami kasi nag cocomment na parang mas alam nila nangyari. Nawala phone ko. and di binalik. I tried to locate my iPhone through find my iPhone [app]. and wala dinala na talaga,” Gigi wrote in her post on FB.
She also revealed she already sought help in Dubai, but did not indicate if she did so from authorities or an Apple Store.

The songstress did indicate, though, that whoever took it would not be able to use it as it’s marked as a lost iPhone.
“Nagpahelp na din ako dito sa Dubai. Don't worry naka mark as lost phone so di niya din mabuksan yun,” Gigi further wrote.
As for those who commented that she should just get another one, Gigi said she would just rather use the money for the medical expenses of her mom.
Gigi reposted some of the comments written by netizens on her post. “Bili ka bago,” said one according to the singer, “wala ka pambili bago?” another commented, as revealed by the singer.
She said that she just posted about her lost iPhone to make herself feel better, and not to solicit pity or help from anyone.
““Yung post kasi na yun. para lang gumaan yung loob ba. parang ginawa ko na biro. kasi aminin niyo mahirap mawalan ng phone,” Gigi said.
Addressing netizens who wrote those and similar comments, Gigi said getting a new iPhone is not a priority at the moment, in the same way that others would not make it their priority if they have lots of financial responsibilities.
“Una po sa lahat bago ako bumili ng brand new phone, mas uunahin ko medical bills ng mom ko and iba pang pambayad ng bills. Parang kayo din. Ganun din kayo ‘di ba? unless talagang wala na kayo mapag gastusan sa pera niyo,” Gigi said.
