Sharon was bashed after criticizing senatorial candidate Panelo Salvador for singing one of her songs in his campaign event.
Kris was slammed online for telling a netizen to use yellow heart emoticons only and not green heart emoticons.
According to Lolit, she believes that Kris and Sharon would not have been bashed back in the day.

She said that the spread of social media made netizens bolder in bashing celebrities.
Nevertheless, Lolit advised both stars to take their critics’ good points as constructive criticism. She also reminded them to be more careful about what they post online.
“Siguro kahit sila Kris Aquino at Sharon Cuneta hindi akalain iyon mga wild reaction sa social media ngayon, Salve.
“Hindi tulad nuon na lahat ng bagay na lumalabas, nasasala at naayos mabuti, now lahat ng language nagagamit sa social media. Kaloka iyon mga bashing , iyon mga direktang comment.
“Saka walang pinalalagpas ang mga comment, violent talaga ang mga ginagamit na salita kung minsan. Maysakit na si Kris Aquino pero hindi pinalagpas iyon sinabi niya na Yellow Heart.
“Kung nuon nangyari iyon comment ni Sharon Cuneta tungkol sa kanta niya, sure ako na magagandang comment lang ang mababasa. Pero ngayon talagang suko si Sharon sa mga sinasabi ng bashers. Kaloka talaga. Kaya nga reality bite talaga ang social media.
“Kung minsan OA narin ang reaction, pero iyon iba naman may punto kaya puwede mong i take na constructive naman. Basta dahil sa social media ngayon, medyo ingat ingat na rin para makaiwas sa bashing. Dahil pag hindi mo kinaya, talagang magkaruon ka ng emotional torture. Kaloka talaga,” Lolit posted on Instagram.
