Lolit Solis, in an Instagram post, expressed her wonderment why the issue regarding the pickpocketing of Nadia Montenegro’s mom appeared to be getting hyped.

A couple of days ago, Nadia, a former actress, posted a video on social media about the incident.
While the occurrence is a cause for concern, Nay Lolit said such things can happen anywhere and not just in SnR supermarket.

“Hindi ko alam kung bakit masyado pinalaki iyon balita tungkol sa pagka pick pocket ng mother ni Nadia Montenegro sa SnR. Kahit saan naman nangyayari iyon madukutan ka, or ma hold up ka kaya nga laging meron sign na nakalagay na ingatan mo gamit mo pag pumapasok ka sa supermarket , grocery, palengke o mall,” Nay Lolit said in her post.
She added that since it can happen anywhere, people should be extra careful and wary of their surroundings.
“Hindi naman sa SnR lang nangyayari ang ganyan, sa lahat halos, kaya dapat mag ingat. In fairness sa SnR mababait ang staff nila, magalang at matulungin,” the veteran columnist said.
Nay Lolit then pointed out that security at the said establishment is fine and that there are guards inside and outside the store.
“At kung titignan mo, maayos ang security dahil labas at loob may makikita kang guard,” she said.
The veteran columnist then said that even with good security arrangements, thieves are able to find ways to perpetrate their dastardly deed.
“Iba na ang panahon ngayon, kahit saan dapat alerto ka, dapat ikaw mismo gumawa ng paraan na huwag matukso ang magnanakaw. Pag nakita nila na madaling kunin sa iyo, tukso iyon na puwede nilang gawin,” Nay Lolit said.
She then empathized with Nadia’s mom and explained they understand how scary it must have been for her.
The veteran columnist then expressed relief that the mom of Nadia wasn’t hurt in the process and would be wary of her surroundings the next time around.
Lolit Solis is a Pinay talk show host, entertainment news writer, talent manager and showbiz columnist. She was born on May 20, 1947 in the city of Manila. According to the veteran columnist, she spent her early life in a poor section of Lardizabal in Sampaloc, Manila. She has made numerous controversial remarks about known celebrities. She was also involved in the infamous 1994 Manila Film Scandal, where she induced several actors and actresses to announce different names as winners.
In another post, Nay Lolit gave her reaction to Cristy Fermin, Morly and Rommel Chika’s showbiz show “Showbiz Now Na.” She does not consider their show to be competing with her and Mister Fu’s own show. The showbiz writer added that it is a positive thing to have different showbiz talk shows because it gives energy to the entertainment industry. Additionally, Lolit said that the reason they are doing these showbiz shows is not to compete with each other.
In the case of Nay Cristy, she aired some fiery words against Mr. Fu after she left their show with Lolit Solis, Take It Per Minute, Me Ganun. The showbiz columnist, during Cristy Ferminute, tackled on Mr. Fu’s “proposal” that prompted her to doubt Mr. Fu’s loyalty. The showbiz columnist, furthermore, expressed dismay at Mr. Fu’s behavior. While on-air, Nanay Cristy likewise uttered her frank message to Mr. Fu.
