Pokwang had no qualms expressing her support towards Atty. Chel Diokno, a senatorial candidate who is one of the senators under the slate of VP Leni Robredo.

On Feb. 22, Pokwang tweeted her support.
"Dios mio panginoong mahabagin!! mag @ChelDiokno nalang ako!! kaloka sabi nga ni Gary V, dina natuto…." the comedienne tweeted.

Atty. Chel then responded, "Naku po, chel ka lang @pokwang27. Maraming maraming salamat sa suporta."
Pokwang then responded that she's a huge fan of the lawyer and told attorney Diokno to stay safe.
"I'm a huge fan po... ingat po," said Pokwang.
"I’m also a big fan of yours! My son Pepe speaks so highly of you," said the attorney.
Atty. Chel Diokno has been very active during the campaign and has gone to various areas in the Philippines, along with VP Leni.
Marietta Subong or Pokwang is a Filipina actress, host, and comedienne who starred in various teleseryes and variety shows under the media giant, ABS-CBN. Following the shutdown of the said network, Pokwang signed under GMA-7 alongside other Kapamilya celebrities.
Pokwang delighted her Instagram followers with some videos of her daughter Malia. In the clips, her little one is making pizza and she looks adorable while doing it. Malia was the one who was rolling out the dough and was putting the toppings on it. In addition, many internet users were pleased to see Malia's cute video.
Pokwang went viral recently due to her birthday message for Kris Aquino on February 14. The comedienne expressed her concern for Kris, who is currently battling an autoimmune disease. She prays every day for Kris to make a full recovery for the sake of her two children – Josh and Bimby Aquino – and all of her loved ones.
