Pokwang, Marietta Subong in real life, is a Pinay actress, comedienne, TV host, and singer. She was born on August 27, 1970 in Iloilo City, Philippines. Before she entered the Philippine entertainment industry, she worked as an OFW in Japan, and subsequently, in the Middle East. After the tragic loss of her son, Pokwang decided to go home to the Philippines to care for her daughter. She found a job as a backup dancer in ABC 5’s Eezy Dancing. In 2004, Pokwang participated in the reality talent show “Clown in a Million” of the Yes Yes Show of ABS-CBN. After becoming the grand champion, she signed on with ABS-CBN as an exclusive artist.

Pokwang was unable to keep her emotions in check anymore as she talked about some of her siblings. The comedienne said that she would sometimes hear hurtful words being hurled at her by them in case she would be unable to grant the favors they’re asking. She revealed that even her deceased mother used to hide things from her just so the other siblings of Pokwang would receive some help.

A couple of days ago, Pokwang, posted a photo-collage of two kids, one from the present and the other is from the past, and expressed surprise at the look of kids before as compared to children nowadays. One can see the glaring difference between the two photos, which consisted of an old one and a more recent picture. She also jokingly called her sister, who appeared in the old photo, a “pin worm.” The actress-comedian has eleven siblings, including the one whose photo she posted on her social media account.
