Andrea Brillantes expressed gratefulness at not giving up on showbiz and her career in the entertainment industry.

She said that while she almost gave up in the past, she opted to keep on fighting.

“Actually it was never… I almost... I wanted to quit. Pero I kept on fighting,” Andrea said during the media conference held on the occasion of her launch as one of the newest celebrity endorsers of Beautéderm.

The actress also revealed that for the most part, it was her mom who wanted her to give up.

She said that perhaps it was due to the fact that her Mom saw the difficulties that the actress was going through in the showbiz industry.

“It was mostly my Mom who wanted me to give-up kasi siya na ’yung nahihirapan para sa akin, pero inilaban ko. ’Yung, ‘Hindi e. Ito na ang pangarap ko ever since I was a kid. Artista na ‘ko noong seven years old ako,” the actress explained.

Andrea also said that showbiz is already her life, having spent almost her entire childhood and pre-debut years in the entertainment industry.

“Ito lang ang alam ko, dito ako lumaki, ito ’yung buhay ko,” she said.

The actress revealed that even at times that she almost gave up, still she kept on fighting.

“So, kahit na pabigay na ’ko, inilaban ko pa rin talaga. At kung meron man na isang bagay na pinaka-grateful ako sa lahat ng bagay na dumating sa akin is ’yung strength siguro na meron ako,” Andrea revealed.

The actress then went on to say that had she given up, she would not have reached where she is right now or enjoy what she has at this point.
