Jeyrick rose to fame after his photos carrying huge crates of carrots became an Internet sensation in February of 2016.
The actor earned his ‘Best Actor’ award in the short film Dayas.
Its story centers on small-scale Igorot miners and their life in the mountain ranges of Benquet.

On behalf of Jeyrick, Jianlin De Los Santos Floresca, the director of Dayas, thanked the award-giving body for the honor.
“We're very thankful to have the best actor award for Jeyrick Sigmaton so in behalf of my actor and the entire cast of Sine Cordillera Dayas, and also in behalf of all Igorots all over the world, bagi tayo daytoy,” direk Jianlin said, using the local dialect for ‘this is ours.’
Actress Janice de Belen also bagged the Best Actress Short Film award at the same film festival.

He rose to fame after his photos carrying a huge basket of carrots went viral online. He, later on, became a model, singer, and eventually, an actor.
Carrot Man Jeyrick Sigmaton became a viral sensation in 2016. GMA Network reported that he is living a more exciting and luxurious lifestyle these days. Aside from pursuing new dreams, he has also been able to visit foreign countries.
Jeyrick has also appeared in 'Wowowin.' He was with his bandmates and they joined 'Willie of Fortune.' His appearance in the Kapuso program elicited mixed reactions from netizens.
