The former PBA star marks his 40th birthday today, October 16 and Danica penned a lengthy post where she aired her heartfelt message to her husband.
“Happy Birthday to my love @jeanmarc15!” she first wrote.
The actress and TV host then went to share how down-to-earth and unpretentious Marc is.

“I can still remember the first time you called me. Nagulat ako at ang bilis mo mag salita ng tagalog. When I asked you sumagot ka agad ng ‘Ha? Dito naman ako lumaki. Half french but born and raised in Pangasinan.’ Umpisa pa lang nag paka totoo ka na saamin ng friends ko. Di pasikat but very genuine and humble.”
“You never tried to pretend to be someone you’re not. Kahit pa sobra yung kaba mo whenever you’d have to talk to my relatives before, humarap ka pa din ng maayos at proud ka sa humble beginnings mo. Every time you achieve something, hindi mo nakakalimutan bumalik at magpasalamat sa lahat. Direcho kang kausap. Talagang what you see is what you get. You always try to give your best in everything you do. Of course you’re not perfect and no one else is. Pero masaya ako sayo and I’m so grateful to have you!"

Danica Sotto-Pingris is the daughter of popular actor-comedian and TV host, Vic Sotto, with veteran actress Dina Bonnevie. She was born on May 9, 1983 in Manila. She has two brothers, Oyo Boy Sotto, who is married to multi-awarded actress Kristine Hermosa, and Vico Sotto, the mayor of Pasig City. She also has two sisters, Paulina and Tali. Danica tied the knot with former basketball player, Marc Pingris, in 2007. They have two children, Jean Michael Pingris and Anielle Micaela Pingris.
Danica is also very close to her baby half-sister, Tali Sotto. On her Instagram Stories, Danica posted a video of baby Tali brilliantly reading a children’s book out loud. According to Danica, the three-year-old girl was able to read three board books in less than 10 minutes. Netizens then aired how they got impressed because of Tali’s intelligence.
Danica likewise taken to social media to share a childhood photo of Marc. In the caption, Danica praised her husband’s cuteness in the picture. Danica also noticed the shirt Marc was wearing with a "TVJ"-like print. She likewise could not help calling her and the former basketball star “destiny”.
