During her interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Monday, October 12, Atasha recalled how her mother would show her photos from her past, leading her to believe that she was indeed a mermaid. The conversation began when host Boy Abunda asked when she learned that Charlene was a beauty queen.

“Unang-una, akala ko mermaid ang nanay ko. Akala ko tunay siyang mermaid. Kasi she would show us her photos before and say, 'Ako 'yan.' So, for the longest time, 'yung dream ko was, 'Sana ako rin, maging mermaid,'” Atasha shared.

Atasha explained that she had always admired Charlene's beauty, both inside and out. She also recalled how people around her would remind her of her mother's achievement in the world of beauty pageants.

“Parang growing up, I always thought that she's a beautiful woman inside and out. And the people around her would always remind me, 'Miss Universe ang nanay mo.' And I would see it, obviously she's so tall, she's so kind, and she's so endearing with everyone and she just glows from within,” she said.

Through her recollection, Atasha highlighted how her admiration for her mother went beyond her physical appearance. She also recognized Charlene's kindness and the warmth she showed to the people around her.
