In their statement, the family shared their sorrow while finding comfort in knowing that Erlinda was no longer experiencing pain. They also expressed their gratitude for the love and memories they shared with her.

"With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother Erlinda Villalobos. It’s never easy to say goodbye to someone who has been such a special part of our lives. Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that she no longer have to suffer or feel any pain."

No cause of death was disclosed in the announcement.

Born on September 1, 1942, Erlinda was known for her roles in the films "Ekstra" and "Manang Biring." Through her work in Philippine cinema, she became part of the local film industry's roster of veteran performers.
