DJ Chacha reminded social media pages to properly credit original content creators when using or reposting their interviews and other content.

On Thursday, October 8, DJ Chacha took to social media to call attention to the growing practice of reposting content without giving proper credit to its original source.

She addressed pages that use or repost interviews and content from other creators, saying:

“A gentle reminder sa mga pages na gumagamit at nag-rerepost ng interviews or content mula sa ibang content creators:

Sana po, let's make it a habit to properly credit the original source, especially kung gagamitin ninyo ang content para sa sarili ninyong posts.”

DJ Chacha emphasized that acknowledging the original creator should not be viewed negatively, noting that it reflects professionalism and respect for other people's work.

“Hindi naman po kabawasan sa pagkatao o sa credibility ng inyong page ang pagbibigay ng proper credit. In fact, it shows professionalism, respect and integrity.”

She continued, “We all work hard to produce quality content. From research, preparation, interviews, hanggang sa production. Kaya sana, let's give credit where credit is due.”

She also expressed her frustration over how frequently the practice has been happening, saying that it has become discouraging for content creators who put time and effort into their work.

“Marami na po kasing gumagawa nito, at sa totoo lang, hindi na rin nakakatuwa.

Sharing content is one thing, but taking credit for someone else's work is another.

A little acknowledgment goes a long way. Let's respect each other's hard work.”

She stressed the importance of putting good values into practice rather than simply talking about them. The host also reminded her followers that there is no need for lengthy explanations when actions can speak for themselves. She noted that words that are not backed by actions may eventually come back to haunt the person who said them.

Earlier, DJ Chacha also raised concerns about the apparent differences between the working conditions of senators and ordinary employees. She pointed out that lawmakers seemed to have more flexibility when it came to workplace attendance and conduct while still receiving their regular salaries. DJ Chacha further noted that senators’ compensation comes from public funds, sparking discussions about accountability and fairness in public service.
