Kara David gave followers a glimpse of her life as a teacher after wrapping up two classes scheduled from early afternoon until evening.

In the caption of her Facebook reel, the broadcast journalist shared that her classes that day ran from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. She kept the update brief, noting that both classes were finished and that she was ready to head home.

“2 classes done!” she wrote.

The host then shared the hours of her teaching schedule: “1pm to 7pm ang klase ko ngayong araw.”

Kara also included the hashtag “#buhayteacher,” placing the focus on her work in education. The short caption offered a look at another part of her professional routine, beyond the television programs through which many viewers know her.

The UP Diliman Department of Journalism lists her as an assistant professor. Its faculty page also identifies her as a GMA Network television host and lists her master’s degree in Philippine Studies.

Her work on television has also received recognition. In a February 2023 report, UP Diliman documented her honors at the 35th Philippine Movie Press Club Star Awards for Television.

The report noted her award as best educational program host for Pinas Sarap. It also reported that i-Witness: The GMA Documentaries, which she co-hosted, won best documentary program.

Kara David, whose real name is Kara Patria Constantino David, is an acclaimed Filipino broadcast journalist, television host, and professor known for her hard-hitting documentaries on GMA Network's i-Witness. Beyond her multi-awarded career in media, she is a dedicated advocate who founded Project Malasakit, a non-profit foundation providing education and assistance to underprivileged communities featured in her investigative reports.

In another report, Marites Odarbe shared photos showing her warmly embracing award-winning journalist Kara David. Odarbe expressed her appreciation for the kindness and warmth David showed her during their intimate podcast conversation. Kara, in turn, described Marites as an inspiration and praised her strength. Odarbe has been living with Parkinson’s disease for three decades while continuing her work as an author and motivational speaker.

Meanwhile, Kara David recently welcomed five Project Malasakit scholars to Manila for a reunion and mentoring workshop. Among them were Omnia Ebrahim, who traveled from Marawi, and Dizza, who endured a 24-hour boat journey from Sibuyan Island to attend the gathering. Despite challenging circumstances during their childhoods, both scholars have remained committed to pursuing their education. The reunion gave Kara an opportunity to spend time with the scholars in person and celebrate the progress they have made toward completing their college degrees.
