Carol Banawa received the Most Outstanding Migrant Award in the United States, marking another milestone in her journey abroad.

According to ABS-CBN Entertainment, the former Kapamilya singer shared her gratitude through a post on Instagram. She said she was deeply humbled by the recognition and grateful to be among other inspiring individuals.
"I am deeply humbled and incredibly honored to receive the Most Outstanding Migrant Award. To be recognized among so many inspiring individuals is a blessing I will forever cherish," she wrote.
The award came as Banawa looked back on her decision to leave the Philippines and start a new chapter in the United States.

"When I left the Philippines, I also left behind a career that I loved. Starting over in a new country was not easy," she said.
She recalled experiencing uncertainty and making sacrifices while building a new life abroad. Despite the challenges, she said she believed every new beginning could lead to a greater purpose.
Banawa also highlighted how she built her career in healthcare from the ground up.
"I started my journey in healthcare from the ground up — from Certified Nursing Assistant, to Licensed Practical Nurse, to Registered Nurse, and now, Family Nurse Practitioner," she shared.
She looked back on the long nights, sacrifices and difficult moments that became part of her journey.
"Looking back, every challenge, every sacrifice, every late night, and every moment I wanted to give up brought me one step closer to this moment," she added.
The singer-turned-nurse also expressed gratitude to her family and loved ones in both the United States and the Philippines. She credited them for supporting her throughout the different stages of her life.
Banawa then dedicated the recognition to fellow migrants who have also left their home countries in search of new opportunities.
"As a proud Filipino, I accept this award on behalf of every migrant who has left home in search of a better future," she said.
She also highlighted the values that Filipinos bring with them wherever they go.
"We Filipinos carry with us the values we learned from home — humility, perseverance, faith, compassion, resilience, and hard work," she remarked.
Banawa encouraged those who may be hesitant to begin again or pursue a different path.
"So, to anyone who is afraid to begin again, who thinks it is too late to change, or who has been told that their dreams are impossible: Never let anyone define your limits," she stated.
She ended her message by sharing what her own journey has taught her.
"I stand here today as a reminder that it is never too late to begin again. With God’s grace, the love of family, and the courage to keep moving forward, anything is possible," she added.
The recognition was presented during the 2026 Heritage People’s Ball on September 19 in Virginia, where Banawa was among the Filipino and Filipino-American honorees recognized for their contributions in different fields.
Carol Banawa is a Filipina singer, actress, and healthcare professional who rose to fame in the Philippines through the youth-oriented show Ang TV and hits like "Iingatan Ka" and "Bakit 'Di Totohanin." Now based in the United States, she transitioned from full-time entertainment to medical care, successfully earning her Master of Science in Nursing degree.
