Julia Barretto recently gave fans a glimpse into her family life and the transition to living independently, as Matteo Guidicelli re-uploaded excerpts from an interview they had on “Matteo G. Primetime.”

The conversation originally took place in April, when Barretto reflected on what she misses about the period when she was still living with her mother and siblings. Although she has already become accustomed to having her own home, the actress admitted that there are still things about her childhood family setup that she deeply misses.

“I miss living with my mom. Just being under her roof and her taking care of everything in the house and living with all my siblings, that’s what I miss the most,” she said.

For Barretto, the feeling of nostalgia is not simply about having a particular house to return to. It is also connected to the experience of being surrounded by her family on a daily basis, with her mother taking care of the household and her siblings sharing the same home.

Her comments offer a more personal perspective on growing up in a large and prominent showbiz family. As an actress who began working in entertainment while still young, Barretto eventually reached a point where she had to establish a life separate from the family home.

She revealed that she has been living independently since she was 22.

“I’ve been living alone since the age of 22. I’ve been able to adjust a lot already,” Barretto said.

“My sisters are two to three minutes away from me,” she shared.

“I don’t think I’ll survive not seeing any of them in a week. So that’s how we are,” Julia added.

Even after years of living independently, Barretto described a family dynamic in which going several days without seeing her sisters would feel unusually difficult.
