In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Bianca criticized the continued use of short-term measures during the rainy season and emphasized the need for solutions that can address flooding more effectively in the long run.

Bianca then pointed to several areas she believes need sustained attention, including flood control, mass public transportation, and good governance. She also noted how flooding has become a recurring issue for Filipinos every year.

“Flood control, mass public transport, good governance, atbp. Taun taon nalang ganito.”

The television host further questioned why neighboring countries appear capable of addressing similar concerns while the situation in the Philippines seems to be getting worse.

“Bakit sa mga katabi nating bansa, kaya naman, eh dito, parang mas lumalala?”

Bianca’s remarks added to the calls for more effective and lasting measures in flood control and public infrastructure. She emphasized the need for long-term solutions to help address recurring flooding.

Bianca Gonzalez is widely respected not only for her work in television but also for her advocacy and balanced outlook on social issues. She married professional basketball player JC Intal on December 4, 2014, in a scenic beach wedding held in El Nido, Palawan. Recently, Bianca used her Facebook account to speak out against corruption in flood control projects amid continued rains and flooding caused by the southwest monsoon. She stressed that ordinary Filipinos who simply want to work and provide for their families are among those most affected by alleged ghost projects. Bianca also urged the public to stay vigilant and stop supporting politicians who misuse public funds, while defending herself against claims that her statements are performative by saying she has advocated for good governance long before social media became popular.

A few months ago, Bianca responded to a netizen who accused her of being “performative” after she spoke about governance, taxes, and public service on X. The TV host had expressed her hope for better public services and leadership that genuinely works for the people. In response to the criticism, she defended her long-standing efforts to promote good governance even before the social media era.
