Awra Briguela opened up about her regrets and the dreams she once had as she shared a heartfelt message to her younger self.

During her interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Friday, August 7, host Boy Abunda asked Awra what she would tell the young Awra who had grown up with many dreams and aspirations.
Awra said she wanted to apologize to her younger self, recalling how she once had so many dreams but now feels that her priorities have changed.
“Gusto ko lang humingi ng tawad sa batang Awra kasi grabe, sobrang daming pangarap no'n, punong-puno ng pangarap 'yun, Tito Boy. Pero ngayon, halos wala na akong pangarap. Ang pangarap ko na lang, maitawid, maitawid 'yung life.”

She explained that her apology stemmed from her belief that her younger self did not deserve some of the decisions she made throughout her life.
“Kaya, ang message ko lang sa kanya, sorry, 'Sorry sa mga maling bagay na nagawa kong 'di mo deserve.' Kasi 'di niya po talaga deserve lahat ng mga naging desisyon ko sa buhay.”
Even with the regrets she carries, Awra acknowledged the resilience of the child she once was, describing her as strong and enduring.
“Pero gusto ko sabihin sa kanya na sobrang strong niya. Sobrang tibay at sobrang strong niya.”

Awra Briguela is a Filipino actress and comedian who first captured national attention after being personally chosen by Coco Martin to portray MakMak in the long-running action-drama series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.” Her energetic personality and impressive talent later earned her even more recognition when she emerged as the grand champion of the first season of “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids,” further establishing her place in the Philippine entertainment industry.
In the same talk show, Awra became emotional while reflecting on the lasting effects of the online backlash she faced after the controversial bar incident. She admitted that overcoming the experience has not been easy, but said her family has remained a constant source of strength and support. Awra also noted that she was only 19 when the incident happened and has since been focused on self-improvement and becoming a better person.
Awra also clarified the misunderstanding behind her “rude reply” to a viewer who commented on her vlog about her Vietnam trip. She explained that she initially misunderstood the viewer’s offer to serve as her interpreter, thinking it was another comment about her English. Awra said she had been receiving several remarks about her grammar throughout the vlog, which affected how she perceived the viewer’s message. She later realized that the viewer was genuinely offering help after reading the person’s response the following day.
