Kara David weighed in on the issue involving Apple David and Chad Gammad, sharing what she considers the more important concern surrounding their relationship.

During her guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Wednesday, July 29, Kara was asked about the issue surrounding Apple and Chad’s age gap. Apple is 33, while Chad is 18 as of this writing.

Kara admitted that she was not very familiar with the issue involving Apple and Chad. She also clarified that she is not related to Apple.

“Ah 'yung kay Apple David. Hindi ako masyadong familiar (sa issue) Hindi rin ako kamag-anak ni Apple David.”

Kara later explained that the age difference between Apple and Chad was not what she considered the main issue. Instead, she raised a concern involving Apple’s work as a journalist.

Before explaining her point, Kara clarified that she was not trying to criticize Apple personally. She then discussed why she believed the journalist’s reported relationship with Chad raised a more significant concern for her.

“Sorry ha, hindi ko naman sa inaano si Apple ha. Pero ang mas issue ko dun hindi 'yung age gap. Ang mas issue ko dun 'yung kasi journalist siya tapos nire-report niya. Tapos, 'di ba, you shouldn't have relations with your case studies. Paano na 'yung pagiging objective mo doon sa nire-report mo kung may relasyon ka doon sa iyong case study?”

Kara’s comments shifted the focus away from the 15-year age gap between Apple and Chad and toward the issue of journalistic objectivity.

She questioned how a journalist could remain objective when reporting about someone with whom they have a personal relationship, particularly when that person is also the subject of the journalist’s work.
