LJ Moreno recently gave fans a heartfelt look at one of the biggest transitions in her family’s life after releasing a vlog documenting their move from Sacramento, California, back to the Philippines.

The actress and content creator shared snippets of their departure from the United States as she, her husband Jimmy Alapag, and their children officially relocated to Manila following Jimmy’s appointment as the new head coach of the NLEX Road Warriors.

Alongside the vlog, LJ reflected on the emotional experience through a lengthy social media post, expressing gratitude to the community that welcomed their family over the past several years.

“It’s been a week since we moved back to Manila, everything happened so fast that we didn’t get the chance to properly say goodbye to everyone,” she wrote.

LJ also assured friends that she would eventually return to California to organize the belongings they temporarily placed in storage.

“(I’ll be back in a few months to sort the stuff we just threw in storage so I’ll definitely reach out when I’m in town!)”

She then thanked the friends and loved ones they met while living in Roseville and Sacramento.

“To our Roseville/Sacramento family THANK YOU for the almost five unforgettable years. ❤️ You welcomed us, supported us, and gave us memories we’ll always treasure.”

LJ shared that California became much more than just a temporary residence for their family.

“It really became a place we called home, our youngest was born during our time there so it will forever hold a special place in our hearts.”

She admitted that leaving was especially emotional for their children, who had built friendships and memories throughout their years in the United States.

Despite the bittersweet farewell, LJ said returning to the Philippines has brought a different kind of joy to their family.

“Coming home to the Philippines has filled our hearts in a different way. We’re so grateful for the chapter we had in California, and even more excited for the new one that’s beginning.”

She ended her message by expressing appreciation for the city that became their home before warmly greeting their homeland.

“Thank you, Sacramento. You’ll always be part of our story. 🇺🇸 Manila, It’s so GOOD to be HOME!”

Jimmy’s appointment as the new head coach of the NLEX Road Warriors paved the way for the family’s return after spending several years in the United States while he pursued coaching opportunities there.

LJ Moreno is an actress who has since established herself as a successful vlogger and digital content creator. She is married to Filipino-American basketball legend Jimmy Alapag, a retired Philippine Basketball Association star who later transitioned into coaching. Together, they have built a growing family and are parents to four children: Ian Maximus, Keona Skye, Calen Asher, and their youngest son, Cayson Amory.
