Charry Dasovich, the mother of content creator Wil Dasovich, recently shared a candid account of the health challenges she has been facing since undergoing major spinal surgery in 2024.

In a social media post, Charry revealed that on September 18, 2024, she underwent a laminectomy and spinal fusion at the L4-L5-S1 levels because of spondylolisthesis, arthritis, degeneration, and severe lower back pain.
According to her, even walking a mile had become difficult after years of discomfort.
“On September 18, 2024, I underwent a laminectomy and spinal fusion at L4-L5-S1 due to spondylolisthesis, arthritis, degeneration, and severe lower back pain. For years, even a simple mile-long walk felt like my back was staging a protest,” she shared.

Charry explained that she spent seven years trying different treatments, including steroid injections, physical therapy, medications, and other conservative approaches. However, by the eighth year, she felt surgery was the only option left.
“For seven years, I tried everything—steroid injections, physical therapy, medications, and conservative treatments. By year eight, my back had clearly decided it was not interested in negotiating anymore, so I chose surgery.”
Although the operation addressed her original condition, it also brought new complications.
“The surgery helped with the original problem, but it also brought new challenges.”
She disclosed that she has been living with neuropathy extending from her midsection down to her toes. She also experiences spasms around the surgical area, chronic pain, and reduced mobility, making daily tasks more difficult.
Since the operation, Charry has undergone additional physical therapy sessions, MRI and CT scans, EMGs, and diagnostic injections in hopes of finding answers and relief.
Unfortunately, she said nerve medications did not work for her and instead brought unpleasant side effects such as nausea, vomiting, extreme fatigue, and mental fog.
“Unfortunately, none of the nerve medications helped, and many came with their own unwelcome side effects.”
Despite the continuing challenges, Charry said she remains optimistic and thankful for every small victory.
“So here I am—still healing, still hoping, and still fighting. It’s too early to know what the future holds, but I continue to take it one day at a time.”
She shared that pain medications currently help her manage her symptoms while she continues to recover.
“This journey has tested me in ways I never imagined, but I am grateful for every small victory and for the people who continue to support me.”
