Jugs took to social media on Thursday, June 4, to post a photo of his latest statement from the Manila Electric Company (Meralco), which showed a final balance of zero pesos.

The musician and television host accompanied the photo with a personal update about the solar panel installation. He opened his caption with a playful reference to a lyric from "Gusto Ko Lamang Sa Buhay," one of The Itchyworms' most popular songs, as he joked about feeling rich because of the savings.

“Feeling ko ang yaman-yaman ko dahil sa @solarcellph!!!” Jugs wrote.

He then shared that the solar panels were installed shortly after the roof of their house was completed.

“Ikinabit ng SolarCellPH ang solar panels sa roof pagkatapos maikabit yung bubong namin.”

According to Jugs, the setup was already operational while construction on the property was still ongoing.

“Ibig sabihin, tumatakbo na ang solar system habang ginagawa yung bahay.”

Seeing the results reflected in their latest electricity bill, Jugs expressed satisfaction that the system was delivering the benefits they had hoped for.

“Kaya nakakatuwang makita na talagang gumagana siya!!!”

While Jugs shared the post in a lighthearted manner, his experience offered a glimpse into the practical benefits of his new home's solar energy system. For the singer-host, the zero-peso electric bill served as clear proof that the investment was paying off.

Jugs Jugueta, born on January 21, 1979, is a Filipino musician, songwriter, and television personality. He is best known as the co-lead vocalist and one of the founding members of the popular rock band Itchyworms. Aside from his music career, Jugs has become a familiar face on television as a regular host and judge on ABS-CBN’s long-running noontime program “It’s Showtime.” Throughout the years, he has built a reputation as both an accomplished performer and a respected television personality.
