On social media, Kare posted a couple of photos from Billy’s wake. In the touching images, the actress could be seen embracing, kissing, and holding Billy close as she said her final goodbye.

The heartbreaking post quickly resonated with fellow pet owners and animal lovers, many of whom understood the unique pain that comes with losing a beloved companion.

Billy was born on November 5, 2022 and passed away on May 28, 2026.

Alongside the photos, the actress penned a lengthy message reflecting on the love, happiness, and comfort Billy brought into her life.

“Meet me at the rainbow bridge, anak ko 🌈🐾,” Kare wrote.
“Gone too soon, but I am so lucky to have met you in this lifetime.”

The actress went on to thank Billy for the unwavering love he gave her throughout the years they spent together.

“Thank you for taking care of Mama. Thank you for loving me with a kind of love that was so pure, so simple, and so unconditional. You gave me so much joy, so much comfort, and so many reasons to smile, and my heart breaks knowing you’re gone.”

Kare admitted that Billy’s passing happened so suddenly that she still struggles to process the loss.

“It all happened so suddenly. I wasn’t ready. I don’t think I ever could have been.”

Like many grieving pet owners, Kare found comfort that her beloved companion finally free from pain and illness.

“I pray that you’re happy now, free from all the sickness and pain. I hope you’re eating all your favorite food, running as much as you want, playing fetch every day, and making new friends wherever you are.”

The actress also looked back on Billy’s gentle and loving personality, describing him as a loyal companion who remained a “good boy” until the very end.

“You did your best, anak. I’m so proud of you. You were always such a good boy, right until the very end. Even in your hardest moments, you were still thinking of Mama.”

Kare shared that she would miss the countless little things that made Billy special, from his footsteps around the house to his cuddles, playful stubbornness, and excitement whenever food was involved.

“I will miss your little footsteps, your snoring, your stubbornness, your excitement over food, your cuddles, your presence. I will miss everything about you.”

The actress ended her tribute with a heartfelt prayer, entrusting Billy to God and expressing hope that they would someday meet again.
